No accounts. No newsletter. No personal data we ever read. The third parties that keep the site running set their own cookies, listed below.

Steam Ranker polls public Steam APIs every 15 minutes and aggregates the results. We don’t require accounts, we don’t collect personal information directly, and we’re not affiliated with Valve Corporation.

The only thing the site itself stores about you lives in your own browser’s localStorage: your selected currency on game pages, and a small client-side cache so reopening the homepage feels instant. Clear browser storage and it’s gone.

What we don’t do.

Storage, sources, and third parties

Browser storagelocalStorage holds your selected currency and a small cache of recent data. Read on your device only, never sent server-side.

Data sourcesPublic stats from Steam, SteamCharts, IGDB, OpenCritic, Twitch, and YouTube. Editorial summaries on news are generated by Google Gemini grounded in those sources and recent web search.

Server logsOur hosting provider (Cloudflare) keeps standard request logs (IP address, timestamp, URL, status, user agent) for operational and security purposes: protection against abuse, debugging, capacity planning. Typical retention is 30 days. Not used for analytics or marketing.

AnalyticsGoogle Analytics 4 measures aggregate traffic (page views, referrers, country-level geography, device class). It sets first-party cookies and processes your IP address. We use it to know which pages get read; we don't tie measurements to anything that identifies you. Google may use Analytics data subject to its own policies.

Advertising & cookies

What Google and other ad partners do

Steam Ranker uses Google AdSense to display ads. Google is a third-party vendor that uses cookies (including the DART cookie) to serve ads based on your prior visits to this site and other sites on the web.

Other third-party advertising networks and partners may also set their own cookies when serving ads or measuring ad performance. They may collect technical information such as IP address, user agent, viewport size, and ad interactions under their own privacy policies.

If you’re in the EEA, UK, Switzerland, or California, you’ll see a consent prompt the first time you visit. Your choices control whether personalized ads load. You can change those choices any time by reopening the consent prompt from the footer.

You can opt out of Google’s personalized advertising at google.com/settings/ads. You can opt out of personalized advertising from other third-party vendors at aboutads.info/choices (US) or youronlinechoices.eu (EU). Google’s advertising policies are at policies.google.com/technologies/ads.

AccessRequest a copy of anything we hold about you. (For most visitors that's an empty response. We don't keep user records.)

DeletionRequest deletion of anything we hold. Server logs and aggregated analytics are deleted on their normal retention schedule regardless.

Opt-out of saleWe don't sell or share personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising. There is nothing to opt out of on our end. To opt out of personalized advertising from Google and other ad networks, use the links in the Advertising section above.

Consent withdrawalYou can withdraw advertising / analytics consent at any time by reopening the consent prompt from the footer.

ComplaintEU/UK residents may lodge complaints with their local data protection authority.

Children’s privacy

Steam Ranker is not directed to children under 13 (or under 16 in the EEA). We don’t knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided information through the site, contact us and we’ll address it.

If anything material changes, like a new ad partner, new tracking, or new data uses, the “Last updated” date at the top moves and we call it out in this notice.
